Great job, Jasmine! It was a VERY close round, with Jasmine coming on top because of her creativity. :)

In this round, I have decided to not eliminate anyone. It was far too tight of a contest and we don't have very many people, so everyone is safe to go another round!

LDC Round 1 RESULTS!!

Hey Everyone!

First of all I want to thank everyone for getting their pictures in. It's always a great satisfaction when every person gets in their picture! So, the moment you've all been waiting for...the RESULTS! First I'm going to have a winner of this round and unfortunately...the person who is going to get eliminated. Let's start with the winner!!

LDC-Round 1!!

Yes, Hands. the ALOF dolls have beautiful hands...remember, BE CREATIVE. If you're creative and have a pretty lit picture, then chances are you have a really good shot at winning. So think outside the box while taking your picture. :)

You may post your picture on your blog, on Picasa and send me the link in a comment, or you can email me your picture at quinnyandcompany@gmail.com. Either is fine. Make sure to have them in by the 18th of this month, and I will judge them on the 20th. :)

Tomorrow is the LAST DAY to enter your doll in LDC! So if you have an ALOF doll and want to sign up, then you must do so today or tomorrow! :D

LDC, Season 3!!!!!

Hi Everyone!

So, it's time for the next season of LDC! What's LDC, you may ask? It stands for Life of faith Doll Contest. If you have an ALOF doll, this is your dream contest! :) Basically, every two weeks or so there is a theme. You take a picture to go with the theme. Then, there will be a winner every week and someone who gets eliminated. Here are the rules:

1. You must get your picture in every week ON TIME, or you will be eliminated. At the end of every round I will give you the next round to work on with a deadline, and so on.

2. You must not copy other people. If the pictures are similar because you accidently did something another person was doing, that's alright. But if you outwardly copy, then you are going to be eliminated.

3. Mostly in this contest I am going to be looking for creativity. Say the round is Food. If you just take a picture of your doll holding an apple or eating it, it's not very creative. You need to think of creative ways to use the food. Maybe she's playing with it, in the refrigerator amongst the food, anything.

4. Also in the contest I am looking for good quality photos. For example, if you use flash all the time, chances are you won't have a very good chance of winning. You could either turn your flash off or take your pictures outside or in a sunny room.

5. You may edit your photos if you wish. But please, no CRAZY editing. But you can add text or make the photos black and white or sepia or more saturated if need be.

Oooh! I almost forgot about the prizes!

Hello everyone! My name is Alisha and I am a new author on this blog. I am a 17 year old Christian homeschooled girl in the 12th grade. I own six A Life of Faith dolls: Elsie Dinsmore, Millie Keith, Violet Travilla, Laylie Colbert, Kathleen McKenzie, and a special edition Elsie.

I think I'll introduce a different one of my dolls each day. Today I'm going to post some pictures of my first doll, Elsie. I got her for Christmas in 2003, which was the year the Elsie and Millie dolls were introduced. Here are pictures of her in her presentation dress.

50th Post!!!

Hello everyone!

Yes, it's true, we haven't posted in forever. I'm so sorry!!!! I just kept thinking that I was going to get to it later, but, unfortunately no. Until now!! :D So, my dolls just wanted to celebrate that this is our 50th post! Hooray!

This was a picture I took a while ago, but I still think it's cute. :)

Well, I guess now I can congradulate myself for the 50th post! I think it's pretty cool. ;) And yeah, I promise I'll post soon!!

Update post!

Hi Everyone!

So...no one has really posted here for a while. I hope we don't let this blog slide downhill...I really like it and I think other people do too. :) Here is a little update post on some things that have been going on for my ALOF dollies lately. :)

So...I GOT VIOLET!!! :D I got her late April. She is gorgeous and I love her! If you want to see pictures of her you can go to my blog! :D Now I have all five ALOF girlies! They are all so pretty! :)

I've been trying out some hairstyles on my ALOF dolls. Millie looks SO cute in loop braids, and Violet is adorable in perky partial pigtails (found on the American Girl Doll Hair DVD)! I've also been admiring Kathleen's hair lately. It's gorgeous and very easy to care for if you know how, so I am going to be doing a post soon about how to care for Kathleen's curls. :)

Some suggestions. . .;)

Hey everyone! :D

Do any of you have hair-styling tips for ALOF doll hair? Because Elsie's two little ponytails and curls are getting kind of boring. . .LOL I need something new! :P

I'm asking this also because of some masks I have recently been making out of some posterboard. I got the mask ideas from Ourdolls. I had some paper leaves and flowers so I glued them to the masks. They look pretty nice! I could improve though. LOL

In a month and a week, I'm deciding that's the doll masked parade when all of my dolls will parade around with their masks on in the night with Christmas lights draped over trees. It's going to be the day after Samantha's birthday (for those of you who don't know when Sammy's birthday is, it's May 21st, so my masked parade will be held May 22d. ) :)

They are so nice to have! So far Millie's Prairie Picnic Dress Ensemble is my favorite! ;)
